When we were young, everyone used to ask us, “What would you want to be when you grow up !” But today’s kids are told, “Follow your interest, Follow your Passion.” What to do? Don’t know what to do. Like sports also, like education also, I like science also, I like maths also. What to do? What all should I read? Which interest should I follow? I like Volleyball also. I like skating also. And I like Handball also. And I like Chess also. I like indoor games also. And I like outdoor games also. What should I choose? Now this generation which I call is After the Google. Now there is a generation Millenial Generation. This is called. And this generation is many a times, as per a research 70% of people, today’s kids I would say, are not able to find the right area of interest, what they could be doing? Who don’t have goals in life and you want to be successful. Very simple three rules, I will be sharing with you within minutes. Number One.
1. Be present – always be present, right here, right now. Right Now. We always are not listening to the person in front of us, we are listening to our head’s conversation. Going on and on in our subconscious mind. He is like that. I could have been at home. I would have been doing this. I should have gone there first. I should have done this. We are not 100% present. We are thinking about what this person is saying. We are thinking about what he said, how he said, how he could have said it. And not listening to him. We HEAR 50% and we LISTEN 25% and that is how, it happens in life. And we are always in our head. Like many a times, we are behaving like Sheikh Chilli. Like I will bring two Hens. And then they will have chickens. And then they will grow as hens. Then they will hatch eggs. And then they will have more eggs. And then there will be many hens and then I will start a Poultry farm. STOP THAT. And there comes a stone in front of you and you fall down and you loose both of the eggs. And your whole future is lost at that moment. How come? Because we are always in our head, not being 100% present. As our Hindu mythology says, when during exylum once Yudhishthra was feeling thirsty, all of his four brothers went to fetch him water one by one. And all four were made to faint by God of water, Yaksh. When Yudhishthra himself went to fetch water from there, then Yaksh said that first he should answer his 100 questions. Yudhishthra said, “Ask.” Two questions, out of them, which I like the most, would want to say that only. Yaksha asked, “What is most important for you you right now?” “What I am doing right now.” “who is most important for you right now?” “Who is in front of me.” So this is what we miss many a times by being in our head conversations. We are thinking about what is being said, not being listening to what was said. And that’s why when we are asked to repeat the same, we think thrice what was said. What was it about? We miss it out. We many a times miss out on Agenda, even the Agenda, that what was being discussed. We miss out topic also. What was the topic? Because we are always in our head, we are not being present right here right now in this moment. Believe in Karma, right here, right now. Karmanaye Adhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kadachan. Ma karam phal heturbhurma, te sango astav karamani. You have right on this moment only. Only on this Karma. Do karma, don’t expect results. If you can do this and if you can really apply that, 100% presence in this moment, half of the battle is won.
2. Context of Contribution– Have the context of Contribution. Very important. There are so many philosophers who have talked about again and again that you should know what you’re doing and why you’re doing. I am saying little different. Have the clear context of Contribution in that. May be if you don’t have a job or you don’t have anything to do, go out of the home, see what your neighbour needs, person residing next to your home needs. Or if you have a job, it’s very good. Go to the workplace, with a space of contributing. That I am supporting my organisation. I am not saying, I am helping. I never. I don’t believe that you can help somebody, but you can always support someone. I am not helping you right here right now but I am supporting you in achieving what you want to achieve in your life by sharing whatever I know, it’s knowledge or education, I’ve learnt or researched. This is what I’m sharing with you. I’m just supporting you in your life further achievement of goals, growth and development and training. Simple as that. So have the space of Contribution to others life. Don’t be, don’t be selfish. Think about others. Be, be big enough to contribute. Doesn’t matter that you are a small or a big one. There are so many movies inspiring you on that. Doesn’t matter. Size doesn’t matter. But if you want to support someone, you can always do that. Every big task is started by a very small action. And then, when you do that, you will be much more moving faster towards success. Your success will also be coming towards you, not only that you will be moving towards your success.
And not to be missed.
3. Power of language- Know the power of declaration. Know your words. Listen to your words. Many a times, we are saying to ourselves and we are so much loose in using our language. Listen what we are always regularly telling ourselves. I don’t know, I eat so much but I can’t digest. I do so much dieting, but don’t know why, weight doesn’t get reduced. Don’t know why people don’t listen to me. I explain them again and again and again and again, but don’t why, I can’t convince anyone. I don’t know somehow. I am short height. I don’t have command over language. I don’t know English. I’ve studied from Hindi medium school. I’ve studied at Government school. I don’t have a big company. I can’t do this. So the GOD says, because GOD has just one word in his Dictionary. What’s that? Tathastu. GOD always says, Tathastu, to whatever you say. If you say, I can’t do it, the GOD says, “Tathastu”. Tatha Astu. So it is. So it is. Nothing beyond that. If you ask, if you demand Indraasan, He says Tathastu. If you ask, if you demand Nidraasan, He says Tathastu. If you demand, I want to have you in my life, He says Tathastu. Yashoda wanted to be her mother and she got it. To demand from Him that yes, I want to be your father and NAND got it. He says whatever you demand, is my command. You say it and the universe follows you. Know your words and have the conviction.
So what we were trying to build on is, over the period, when you have smaller tasks and you deliver on to that, your subconscious mind is trained to believe what you said. And over the period, when you do it again and again, what happens. Your subconscious mind believes in you that yes, you’re a person who delivers. Once I said, I don’t even listen to myself also.
