The Learning Organisation : The Jack Welch Way
The two day workshop is the first step towards creating a Learning Organisation where all the employees of the company are in learning mode with a culture of open communication called as candor in the book “Winning” by Jack Welch.
Jack Welch is known for his management style at General Electric. During his tenure of 21 years from 1981-2002 as chairman and CEO, company grew by 4000%. He is greatly acknowledged for creating a culture of candor among all employees. He is considered as one of the most successful CEO’s. He joined company as junior chemical engineer at salary of $10,500 only whereas when he retired as CEO, he received the severance payment of $417 million, the largest payment in history. He is also known for managing his failures also very well. He faced some criticism also from some philosophers on his Bell Theory of 20-70-10, but he manged that too quite well.
